I love being a girl <3

It’s been a while since I shopped for make-up. Well, I really am not into it, like hardcore. I do own lipstick, powder and blush, just to call myself kikay. Hehehe. Other than the things mentioned above are alien to me. So last time I went to SM Manila, I dropped by at Etude House because they were on sale! Are you ready? Chos.

yes, may ganyang effect talaga!

First item :

VIP Girl Lipstick

I was looking for the same lipstick Celine bought for me but I wasn’t able to find the exact shade from Dear Darling collection so I looked for an alternative. For the past months, I have been using red shade and I realized it somehow made me look matured (in a sexy way, chos). I miss looking young and doll-like (ugh) so I bought myself a pink lipstick!

Next :

Long Lash Mascara

Since I do have an eyelash curler, I bought a mascara that could go with it…only to realize someone borrowed my curler and didn’t return to me. T_T Anyway, despite not having an eyelash curler, the mascara works at its finest! It really does make my lashes look longer than usual. Promise! I wish I had taken a decent photo of my lashes but my 55-200mm lens won’t allow me. Nobody in the office wants to help me neither. Hahahaha. Poor me. But trust me, it really works~

Let’s talk about nails!

Those were Matte! Except for the colorless!

I am a huge collector of nail polish. Okay, let me say “was”. I seldom buy any of it now. I asked my Mommy Donna about her matte nail polish and she told me that I could find one at Etude House. How on earth have I had no knowledge about it? So I took this opportunity (I seldom go to malls recently, unless it’s for movies :D ) to buy one…and ended up buying two. Hehehehe. I chose brown and pink! Will post photos soon as I tried it ;)

<3

I tried the lisptick but it’s not that visible :

Gusto ko lang iupload talaga to kasi feeling ko ang ganda ko dito! hahaha!

Sometimes, I love being a girl. Most of the time kasi, I love girls! :p

Sweetest Escape <3

Completely unplanned. No actual budget. Screw itinerary. Randomly pick hotels 4 days before the getaway. Old swimsuit. Just completely…unplanned.

So how did we survive Boracay with limited budget on hand? Simple!

1. Enjoy the beach!

I made it sure that I’ll get tanned as I leave Boracay. So on my 4-day stay there, I spent most of it swimming! Sometimes, alone. Dreen would always stay on the shade while I brave the sun. Hahaha! Well, I can’t blame him. He is already tanned after 4 days in Palawan and a week in Boracay. Yea,  I just had to say that because that’s what he always says whenever I ask him why he wouldn’t swim with me. Yabang no? *Dreen, okay na?*

This was in White Beach while this..
..was on the Puka beach (last November getaway)
Puka beach is exclusive for several hotels like Shangri-La, Boracay Regency and Alta Vista. If you don’t want the crowded White Beach, check-in to one of these hotels so you could go to Puka beach. For me, I love white beach more!

2. Vanity mode : ON

Some of  my favorite photos. Since no one could take our photos, and we cannot just leave our cameras on the shore, we set a certain hour for “photoshoots”. Mind you, our hotel is a 10-min walk from White Beach so it really is a hassle for us. But when you look at the photos, everything seems worth it! One of the reasons why I enjoyed Boracay because I got beautiful pictures. Well, I have Dreen to thank for. :)

3. WITNESS SUNSET

The best and most romantic part of our trip is the Boracay sunset. We made sure we would capture its beauty! I’m a super fan and lover of sunsets, but what makes it more special is witnessing it with the one you love. :)

4. BORACAY NIGHT LIFE

Dreen would always ask me to go out with him during night time. True enough, Boracay is so much alive at night. Bars. Fire dance and street food stalls. I love the energy at the island during this time. We walked from one station to another, just talking about random stuff. We even slept a while at the shore. Oh how I love that moment when we just lied down next to each other, looking at the starts above us..and then it rained. I remember writing on my journal that one day, I want to dance with him in the rain. How great that it happened in Boracay! Brought me to tears!

5. FOOD TRIP

Jonah’s fruitshake

 Chori burger or grilled chorizo.

Unli Goto

We were on  a budget so having food stalls around the island is really helpful to us. Hahaha. Jonah’s fruitshake is a must-try. It is really different from any other fruitshake stores you’ll see in the island. You can find it along D-mall at in Station 1. Perfect for sun-bathing.
And then there’s chorizo burger. Last November, my friend was looking for it all day. I learned from Dreen that it will be available pa on the afternoon, at around 5pm.
The unli goto costs P50.00. I have nothing else to say about that.

There are so many things you can do in Boracay. There are so many ways to enjoy your stay there. Just be wise. ^_~

And here’s the video of our sweetest escape..because the photos we took were not enough to show how enjoyable our 4-day stay there was!

Dreen and I spent our weekend at their house in Cavite. I found a very interesting spot at their home. The way was blocked like this because they do have chicken at the back of their house! Chicken! And oh, doves! I want to take photographs of them soon! :)

I created this look at polyvore. I am happy that I actually found clothes that matched the one I created. Here :

A box of happiness

Top : Forever21
Harem Pants : Mom’s
Shoes: Payless
Accessories: Forever21

Forgive my face. T_T

I have my mom to thank for for the pants I am wearing. I found it in my closet.  It was my niece who folded my clothes, maybe she thought it was mine. Oh well.
I don’t know if you have noticed but I seldom wear pants/leggings/or whatever it is called. Why? Look at me here. I look short. Pants never complement me. I always have a hard time choosing the right pair. Whenever I decide to shop for pants, I always end up with shorts or skirts. :(

Anyway, just this afternoon, I decided to give in to my craving :

Bizu’s Macarons De paris

I was craving for French Macaroons since last week. I remembered ordering a box of it from Bizu for my best friend for his first love. He was crazy, really. The girl posted that she wants this for her birthday. You know what happened next. My guy bestfriend called me to order this online and have it delivered. I’m his hero when it comes to such stuff. OhI love online delivery! To be specific, Munch Punch!

1. Find a restaurant you want or a specific food item. As for me, Macarons De Paris from Bizu

And then there will be a breakdown of the restaurant’s branches. Choose one. For me, I chose Greenhills branch since it is the nearest.

  And then click ORDER DELIVERY.

Fill up the form. Wait for a few minutes. A customer representative from City Delivery will call you to take your order and billing address. Your order will be delivered within an hour! And yes, they do accept credit cards!

Online shopping is genius!

LATE POST : A LEAP YEAR DINNER

Leap year happens every four years. Dreen happens once in a lifetime. Cheesy me.

He was in Cavite that day. Suddenly, we both thought of having dinner in celebration of leap year. It was also Leika’s 1st day on earth so we decided to visit her at the hospital too. After that, we went to SM Mezza just because it is the nearest place to our home.

I ordered for crab stick sandwich while he had banana nutella crepe. We also had teas.

I love the crab stick sandwich. It was my first time to try it. As usual, I didn’t even taste Dreen’s crepe for it has bananas. I just can’t.

Happy leap year to us, Mr. O!

Boracay : Balai Capiz

All in the name of love.

Dreen flew last February 21st to Boracay for his Toyota training. The moment we knew about this, he kinda “joked” about me following him there. I never thought of its possibility but I have to admit, I did consider. Prior to this, we already booked a trip to Boracay on September of this year. That’s the original plan. But I guess, blessings do come unexpectedly. I have talked to my accountant at GW Kalibo about my plan of going to Boracay. Apparently, I’ll be booking a route from Manila-Kalibo since it is cheaper than the fare to Caticlan. Smarter me, I know. She invited me there and offered me a ride from Kalibo to Caticlan. How can I say no to that? So I bought a ticket right away.

It is my first time to ride on a plane ALONE. It was also my first time to try Zest Air. Most of my flights are always with Cebu Pacific Air. I didn’t know that Zest Air is on Naia Old Domestic or what they call now as Naia Terminal 4. Good thing I was two hours earlier from my flight so I didn’t freak out when I learned about it from the guard at Terminal 3. Lesson learned, look at your ticket for instructions beforehand!

If you’re going to Boracay (for the first time) and landing in Kalibo , you may find the following reminders helpful :

1. Kalibo is two-hour ride away from Jetty Port, Caticlan.
a. Jetty Port is where you would ride a ferry boat that would take you to Boracay Island.
2. You have two choices on going to Caticlan from Kalibo:
a. Van — there is a sign in Kalibo airport which offers a van ride inclusive of the ferry boat fee from Kalibo to Caticlan for P250.00
b. Bus ride — there are buses on the city proper which go to jetty port. Fare is for P127.00.
3.  There are certain fees on which you will pay on Jetty Port:
a. Banka (if you ride a bus) — P 25.00 on day time and P30.00 night time.
b. Terminal Fee — P40. 00
c. Environmental Fee — P50.00
4. From Jetty Port, there are tricycles going to your desired station : 3,2,1. If you’re a group of two-three people, do not take the special trip. It is way costly than usual fare. But if you are a group of more than five, haggle. P100-120 from Jetty port to Station 2 is fair enough :)

Anyway, I am no expert here so I must continue with my story, hehehe.

We stayed at Balai Capiz which is located at Station 2, Brgy. Bulabog. If you do not mind walking 10 minutes maximum from White beach and staying on a not-so-fancy but with oh-so-friendly-and-accommodating staff, I can say that Balai Capiz is the perfect place to stay in Boracay! Mr. O already checked in there when I was still at Kalibo airport and as I have arrived, he was already friends with the staff. You can see them smiling and laughing and really doing their task of accommodating all our needs.

The hotel only has four rooms. I love their interior. It’s very relaxing especially at night.

We stayed at this air-conditioned green room. Its regular price is at P1,500 per night.

Other rooms :

Mr. O and I agreed to make this our “regular” hotel whenever we visit Boracay every February. Yes, it’s going to be our tradition!
You may book Balai Capiz by clicking THIS :)

And oh, they have free wifi and coffee 24/7!

So what’s with Boracay? Wait for my next post!

I have visited Boracay last November of 2011 and I have tried several food stations and island hopping (which I haven’t blogged about much aside from this, just because). So now that I have visited it again, I told myself that I would make it more memorable and enjoyable. Let us not just get into details as to why :)

THERE IS MAGIC IN FRUITS

Raspberry fruitshake  (S-P65.00 ; M- P80.00 L-P95.00)
 Chocolate Banana fruitshake (S-P50.00 ; M–P70.00 ; L-P90.00)

Been craving for a fruitshake this one Friday night, I decided to go to SM Mezza since there are a lot of food outlets to try. Of all, I went to Fruit Magic and ordered a Raspberry Fruitshake for me and Chocolate Banana fruitshake for my niece. I always hate banana. Yes, I don’t eat banana. But once I have tried their chocolate banana fruitshake, I think I can start eating banana now!

Spaghetti Carbonara with garlic bread (Solo — P 90; Regular : — P125)

Carbonara is my ultimate favorite pasta of all time. I always find myself wanting to try different pasta on the menu but still end up ordering for carbonara.  I love their carbonara. The creaminess, sweetness and saltiness of it is just right. I should have tried a different meal because I am so biased when it comes to carbonara!

They also have soya milk with fruit flavors sold for P65.00.

Tumblers! Every store has them.

Fruit magic’s menu is pretty simple, yet original. I love their menu :

They have yogurt which they have categorized under Boosters. They also have fruit juices which they have categorized as Pure Nectar.

Imma try their fruit juices with unique names next time:

Olympian –Achieve that extraordinary energy (apple, pineapple and red beet)
Anti-Cancer – The super anti-oxidant (apple, carrot, cinnamon)
Cold Defender – A powerful mix of natural vitamins (orange, pineapple, carrot)

TO THE MOST LOVING “MOMMY” I’VE EVER HAD

It’s her 24th birthday last March 5 and I happened to meet her when she was 23. In a matter of months of knowing her, she has touched my life in so many ways.

I was the first one to call her “Mommy”. My instincts just told me she’s going to be a very good friend to me. My instincts have proven me right. She is indeed one good person.

So who is Mommy Donna in Supermish’s life?

It was August of 2011 when my life has been through its toughest time. I lost friends, friends that are closest to me. It was a hard time for me. But she was there. All the way. She never let me feel I’m all alone. She didn’t judge me. She didn’t leave me at all. Instead, she always welcomes me to her home.

It was her who saw how my heart has been broken several times. She saw how I have been affected by some people’s rude opinions about me and my decisions in life. She fought for me. She stood by me. She never let me feel defeated. She comforted me, listened to my cry and hugged me tight to make me feel that after all I’ve done, I am still loved.

It was her who remembered my birthday when most of the people dearest to me has forgotten about it. She remembers every Helios Member’s birthday and always plans a surprise for us. She is just that sweet <3

She opened my world in Disney. For 22 years, I haven’t watched “Beauty and the Beast”, “The Lady and the Tramp” (and the other Disney movies I have forgotten again) not even once! I know, I’m such a loser. Hehehe. And thanks to her, I can now relate to the fantasy world of Disney Princesses!

And above all, she has led me to become one Disney Princess in real life. She pushed me to my prince. She guided us both on our relationship. And now, I am this happy because of her, because somehow, she helped me and Dreen cross our paths.

I cannot wish her material things, because obviously, she can afford those. What I want for her is to feel loved and special. Not just by me and by our friends, but also by her family. I know how she misses her mom and dad plus her two siblings. I know how much she longs for them on Christmas, New Year, Birthdays or just on ordinary days. I pray that God could restore her relationship with her parents, especially on her dad.

I also know how much love she is willing to give to a guy she loves. For the past years, her heart has been torn to pieces by jerks. People have betrayed her. I pray that one day, God would finally let her meet a man who would be perfect for her. Someone who would accept her as for who she is, wouldlove her wholeheartedly, and would give her all the love she deserves.

She has touched my life in so many ways. And I know several people who feels the same way towards her. That’s how amazing she is. She’s not just a good writer and cook (see her blog as proof : she writes ; she cooks ; she’s bipolar), but she is one genuine friend. She is one of the best people I know and admire. She is none other than, le shutter bug, Mommy Donna.

Dearest Mommy, happy happy birthday. I know you’re happy on your birthday for a reason I cannot disclose here. Hehehe. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me and for us Helios. We love you! May God bless you more and more and more!!
