A box of happiness

Top : Forever21
Harem Pants : Mom’s
Shoes: Payless
Accessories: Forever21

Forgive my face. T_T

I have my mom to thank for for the pants I am wearing. I found it in my closet.  It was my niece who folded my clothes, maybe she thought it was mine. Oh well.
I don’t know if you have noticed but I seldom wear pants/leggings/or whatever it is called. Why? Look at me here. I look short. Pants never complement me. I always have a hard time choosing the right pair. Whenever I decide to shop for pants, I always end up with shorts or skirts. :(

Anyway, just this afternoon, I decided to give in to my craving :

Bizu’s Macarons De paris

I was craving for French Macaroons since last week. I remembered ordering a box of it from Bizu for my best friend for his first love. He was crazy, really. The girl posted that she wants this for her birthday. You know what happened next. My guy bestfriend called me to order this online and have it delivered. I’m his hero when it comes to such stuff. OhI love online delivery! To be specific, Munch Punch!

1. Find a restaurant you want or a specific food item. As for me, Macarons De Paris from Bizu

And then there will be a breakdown of the restaurant’s branches. Choose one. For me, I chose Greenhills branch since it is the nearest.

  And then click ORDER DELIVERY.

Fill up the form. Wait for a few minutes. A customer representative from City Delivery will call you to take your order and billing address. Your order will be delivered within an hour! And yes, they do accept credit cards!

Online shopping is genius!

LATE POST : A LEAP YEAR DINNER

Leap year happens every four years. Dreen happens once in a lifetime. Cheesy me.

He was in Cavite that day. Suddenly, we both thought of having dinner in celebration of leap year. It was also Leika’s 1st day on earth so we decided to visit her at the hospital too. After that, we went to SM Mezza just because it is the nearest place to our home.

I ordered for crab stick sandwich while he had banana nutella crepe. We also had teas.

I love the crab stick sandwich. It was my first time to try it. As usual, I didn’t even taste Dreen’s crepe for it has bananas. I just can’t.

Happy leap year to us, Mr. O!

THERE IS MAGIC IN FRUITS

Raspberry fruitshake  (S-P65.00 ; M- P80.00 L-P95.00)
 Chocolate Banana fruitshake (S-P50.00 ; M–P70.00 ; L-P90.00)

Been craving for a fruitshake this one Friday night, I decided to go to SM Mezza since there are a lot of food outlets to try. Of all, I went to Fruit Magic and ordered a Raspberry Fruitshake for me and Chocolate Banana fruitshake for my niece. I always hate banana. Yes, I don’t eat banana. But once I have tried their chocolate banana fruitshake, I think I can start eating banana now!

Spaghetti Carbonara with garlic bread (Solo — P 90; Regular : — P125)

Carbonara is my ultimate favorite pasta of all time. I always find myself wanting to try different pasta on the menu but still end up ordering for carbonara.  I love their carbonara. The creaminess, sweetness and saltiness of it is just right. I should have tried a different meal because I am so biased when it comes to carbonara!

They also have soya milk with fruit flavors sold for P65.00.

Tumblers! Every store has them.

Fruit magic’s menu is pretty simple, yet original. I love their menu :

They have yogurt which they have categorized under Boosters. They also have fruit juices which they have categorized as Pure Nectar.

Imma try their fruit juices with unique names next time:

Olympian –Achieve that extraordinary energy (apple, pineapple and red beet)
Anti-Cancer – The super anti-oxidant (apple, carrot, cinnamon)
Cold Defender – A powerful mix of natural vitamins (orange, pineapple, carrot)

Cheetos Puffs

Say hello to my favorite junkfood — Cheetos! I bought this for myself but then I remembered that my braces is just almost 2 weeks old so I still can’t bite like real bite, you know what I mean. So I just gave it to my officemates and Joey.

I just can’t wait til I can eat again!

Pepper Lunch on a Friday night!

Last Friday night, we prepared a farewell party for S’ Bonn. He has been so close to me during my year stay in JWS and the thought of him leaving makes me cry (well, I did cry the whole time I was hosting the event). So we decided to eat out on a Friday night just so we could feel a little lighter. :)

Pepper Lunch opened in Megamall weeks ago and I’ve been dying to eat there, so we tried it last Friday!

HERE ARE WHAT WE HAD:

Teriyaki Beef Pepper Rice with Fried Egg p285.00.

This was what Sol had. She seldom eats heavy for dinner but when she had this, you can just see satisfaction and happiness in her eyes. She really enjoyed it and she’s been telling everyone about this until now! She just can’t get over it :)

DOUBLE HAMBURGER STEAK P325.00
M’ Eve, Chorva and I had this. I have to brag that I had 1 1/2 cup of rice during that night because I really love what I’m having! The hamburger is just so tasty! Though I didn’t eat the egg and the veggies that come with it, except for the corn (which is delicious, btw) because I am no fan of veggies and egg. The whole meal just satisfied my taste buds!

Sliced Angus Beef seasoned with salt, pepper and secret Pepper butter. P475.00

Gene ordered for this one and he was not that happy, since it is quite pricey. So he learned his lesson: Not because the price is high, the taste is good. Hihihihi :p

I’ll try it again next bonus! Hahaha!

Thank you, friends! Til next time! (I don’t have photos of Chorva and S’ Bonn). AND we just used M’ Eve’s cellphone for the photos, I didn’t bring my camera with me. Boooohoo!

SOL & M’ EVE

GENE & ME (We really look like magkapatid na koreans  when we’re together. Hahaha!)

Pepper Lunch Philippines now open at Rockwell, Greenbelt 5, Shangri-La Plaza, Alabang Town Center, Robinson’s Place Ermita, and now at SM Megamall-A.

Supermish is a Happy Lemon!

For the nth time that I have invited my friends to go to Happy Lemon, they finally said yes to me! I’ve been wanting to try it since Tricia and the rest of Gondo Girls love it. AND because I’m a forever Tricia fan, I’m always planning to visit and try it myself!

But before that, let me post my “WHAT I WORE”

Forever 21 Hello Kitty romper (which until now, I can’t believe I bought)
Fedora Hat from People are People
Red shoes (which was not seen on the photo) from Payless

These are the drinks we ordered:

Cocoa with chocolate pudding P80.00
This was what Tatay had last night.

Lemon Yogurt (with nata de coco) P80.00
This was what RR had. It’s so yummy at ako ang nakaubos nyan! :)

Green Tea with Rocksalt and Cheese (large P90.00)
And this was what I had. As per Shai (of Gondo Girls) this one is her favorite and so I tried it. I don’t know for some but for me, it tasted like Sampaguita that I wasn’t able to finish it. Though at first, it’s good. So I ended up giving it to the sampaguita vendor outside the store. Sana hindi niya tinapon.
It’s one of its best sellers but sorry, I really didn’t like it!

Sorry R if ako nakaubos ng inorder mo. Ang sarap lang talaga! :)

We didn’t stay at Happy Lemon because the place is too crowded and we were also starving that we looked for a good place to have dinner.
PESTO (Italian restaurant)
WHAT WE HAD

RR had penne pasta P225.00 (which I forgot the real dish’s name). It’s so creamy! and delish~ A must have!
Dried tomatoes taste like raisins. They’re sweet~

GENOVESE pasta P255.00
This was what I had, It’s my first time to try this type of pasta and I must say, I’m glad what I had that night! Pambawi sa sampaguita drink ko sa happy lemon! I love the shrimps and the creamy tomato sauce!

Beef something sandwich P225.00
While RR and I had pasta, Tatay had sandwich. He said it was good daw. I didn’t taste it kaya can’t say much about it.
Pizza P265
As usual, pizza is always a part of our italian dinner. We reserved 2 slices for Celine :)
I am one happy lemon!

Banapple is <3

After having dinner at Bellissimo, we saw an ice cream store which caught our attention for having a unique name but we didn’t push through because we thought of trying some other options. That night, Celine and Peter want bubble tea while I am craving for happy lemon. Since we all have divided interests, we decided to just watch movie at Gateway, thinking Hangover 2 is showing already. When we got there, you knew what happened. Hang-over will be in cinemas by june 08. Hahaha! So we thought of other options. DQ, Starbucks and the most common cafe you could name. Then RR remembered Bellini’s so we checked if it’s still open. It was already near 11pm, and I had my doubts but we still went on. Unfortunately, the place was already closed when we got there. We walked from gateway to Cubao Expo because RR paid a parking fee of 40.00 and he wanted to make the most out of it kaya I had super paltos from that tiring walkathon. I am not complaining though, because the experience was super fun!Anyway, as we got into the parking lot, we were thinking of other places to try. I was really eager to go to Happy Lemon but we might end up with nothing again. Since we were in Cubao, and Katipunan is just a 10-minute ride, we settled for Banapple located somewhere in Katips. We really had no idea where exactly in Katipunan Banapple was. Good enough, there are still people roaming around the area and one guy gave us clear directions.BANAPPLE, KATIPUNAN

My friends always make kwento about the Banapple in Ayala Triangle. According to Celine, this place is smaller (or maybe the smallest) than the one at Makati. Still, it never fails to give you a super girly feeling, like you’re inside a doll house. The tables, the lights, the over-all interior of the place. It’s just so relaxing!

WHAT WE HAD

STRAWBERRY CHORVA
This was what RR had. I can’t remember the name of the cake, and RR won’t give me decent response so I just named it the way he did on twitter. Hahaha. I can’t remember how this cake tastes like, maybe because I am so used to having strawberries that I can no longer appreciate them? I don’t know. Anyhow, if you’re a lover of fruity cakes, then I guess this one’s for you.
BANOFFEE CAKE.
Both Peter and Borgy had Banoffee Cake. As what I’ve read on some blog about banapple, and as per Sol (my officemate), this is the store’s best-seller. I didn’t like it that much since I am no fan of bananas. Borgy and Peter loved it though.
FUDGETY FUCKETY FUCK CARAMEL

I forgot what her cake’s name so I asked her on twitter and this was what she told me. Celine’s one crazy bitch, sorry. Hahaha! Anyway, I’ve tasted it and it’s heaven! The caramel melts into your mouth and leaves you wanting more. Of all the cake we ordered, this was the most delish~
MYSTER REESE’S CAKE

And this was what I had that night. I was never a fan of peanut butter but I love Reese’s chocolates (and the selecta ice cream!). I also find it weird, don’t worry.
P.S.

Thank you, Celine, for giving me your bangles! Next, the sparkling cardigan you mentioned about giving me, please? :)
P.P.S.

Peter, you are really, really, really handsome here! :)
Always a fun-filled day with my SC friends! I love you guys and see you soon!

Congratulations RR!

This was us last October of 2010 when RR didn’t make it on the October CPA board exam.

And this was our picture two weeks ago as a celebration for RR passing the May 2010 CPA board exam! Congrats, R!

And because he passed, he has to treat us to dinner. LOL. The first option was to try Pan De Amerikana in Katipunan but Peter’s so maarte that he wanted a better, more SC restaurant. RR had two options, either Bellini’s in Cubao (which I blogged about here) and Cesar Montano’s Bellissimo Ristorante in Timog.

Since I told them that I’ve been to Bellini’s na, we went for Bellissimo.

I always love taking pictures of restaurant’s table setting. For a place to be called a good, sophisticated one, having a presentable table setting counts.
There’s one thing I was sure when we looked at the menu that night: we would order for pasta. Hahaha. The place offers a promo wherein you could avail 2 pasta dishes with 4 drinks at a marked down price. That’s what we availed.
WHAT WE HAD

Free Bread stick.I love restaurants who offer them. :) I just wish, they’re unlimited! Hahaha! And yea, they come with tomato sauce pa!

Since we were 5 that night, and the free drinks were only for four persons, RR ordered for one bottomless iced tea, and it’s for me! :D
PASTA AGLIO OLIO.
Seafood pasta is always my love! We asked for another one because it’s soo delish!
SHRIMPS!!
Spaghetti Carbonara

I’m in love with carbonara. :)  Always and forever. But that night, I enjoyed the aglio olio more.

CHICKEN  SOMETHING.
Sorry I forgot to get the receipt from RR, so I just named it as chicken something. LOL. I am not a fan of chicken so I didn’t enjoy this much as they did.

Bellissimo doesn’t look good on the outside, but as what i’ve said on my Bellini’s post, it’s what inside that counts.  The place is like giving its customers a peek of Cesar Montano’s life outside showbiz. I, personally, didn’t know that he’s composing songs. I think I saw a few of his compositions. Some were posted on the hallway and comfort room. Music is another form of art, and that’s what you’ll feel inside the place.

Again, I am so happy that my friends are getting their (our) dreams — of becoming a CPA. For those who are thinking, yea, I haven’t take the board yet, but I plan to so, let’s just see what would happen. Hahaha!

Congratulations RR. I am so proud of you! :)

NORTH PARK NOODLES

Since I can’t post yet where we celebrated our Anniversary, let me share to you muna where did we eat during that day. During our day trip, we decided to have an early dinner at this restaurant. Borgy said their Yang Chow rice is one of the best that he had, and so we have to try it.

WHAT WE HAD
I was really tired during that day, I had no time to take pictures of the place. However, I was able to take pictures of the food!

They offer free hot tea. (I think it’s Lipton! lol)

Fresh Lemonade (It’s a must!)
It’s indicated in the menu that it’s a must so we tried it. Sorry if I can’t give you the price since I lost the receipt. Booo. The one that I had was too sweet so I had to add water to it pa. But nevertheless, it’s good.
Yang Chow Rice
This was what Borgy ordered first. It’s good for two na! I think it’s worth for about 100-200. I love it because it has shirmp!
Steamed Sharks-fin dumplings

Fried Prawn Dumplings

When Borgy asked me what I want to eat, I instantly told him Fried Prawn! I always love seafood. If I am eating at a Asian-Cuisine, I always look for seafood menu. Borgy had himself sharks-fin dumplings but he loved mine more!
Fried Seafood Shanghai
I didn’t notice that Borgy kept on ordering. Ayan tuloy, we weren’t able to finish this kaya we took it home.
DESSERTS
It’s very seldom that I have desserts whenever I eat out, kasi naman I always end up being so full that I can’t take anymore food. Borgy insisted that we try their dessert so we did.
Lychee and Almond Jelly.
Lychee is one of my favorite fruits!

Black Gulaman and Almond Jelly

Lychee is to me while Black Gulaman is to Borgy. He’s addicted to it!

I tried cooking!

It’s so obvious on my posts that I love eating. BUT, I never knew how to cook. Be it fry, stew, or whatever, I don’t have any idea how to do it. Last time, Borgy and I were left with two kids — Yoyong and Yayang at home. I’ve decided to look at the food cabinet and see what we can eat. I saw canned goods and thought of cooking it. Yea, I did cook!

What to cook:
Scrambled egg with Meat loaf and Potatoes.

THE INGREDIENTS:

Tuna/Meat loaf
This was what I found on the cabinet. I cut it into little squares! :)

POTATOES
I also need potatoes cut into tiny squares. Hahaha!

EGGS

Iodized salt.

Pepper (I don’t have a picture) and garlic powder

Before I proceed on the steps that I took, I want you to know that I didn’t have any cookbook to follow. I also want to reiterate that this is my very first time to try cooking with my own recipe. I experimented whatever I saw on the kitchen and on the fridge. Hahaha. So don’t judge me. /lol
THE STEPS

(1) I scrambled the egg and added a little amount of salt to it.

(2) OKAY. Don’t follow this. Hahahah. They told me to cook first the potatoes because if you do this, your potatoes would end up uncooked and matigas. Hahahaha. major fail!

(3) This one, I was right. Hahaha. I mixed the tuna loaf with eggs and added little amount of garlic and pepper powder.
(4) COOK/FRY
Huwag mong i-juge! Hahaha! I am scared of cooking oil, that’s why I never cooked before. I remember describing myself that way on one event I have attended to, and they have guessed that I was the one who wrote it. It shows daw! hahaha!
Yoyong, Yayang and Borgy loved it. Though they complained about the potatoes. Hahaha.
I’m so happy! :)
