THRIFT SHOPPING

Thrift shopping is all about timing and patience, agree? Last night, I decided to look for a place to eat because I miss blogging about food. On my way to this certain place with good restaurants, I happened to pass by at this thrift store. Too bad they were not on sale so the prices were too high for a thrift shop. Okay, I am just making excuses. I’m on budget mode for my weekend trip so I didn’t buy anything. But I swear I’ll be back there next week to get the items I want!

The place is pretty big! Shoes. Bags. Pants. Jeans. Shorts. Skirts. Sheer. Everything trendy is in there! I took photos of the two items I almost bought!

I promise to be back on thrift shopping! I’ve missed it!

Almost Everything Thrifted!

Leather-like jacket – thrifted
Green leggings – thrifted
White sleeveless – SM Dept. Store
Shoes – Forever21
Accessories – Aldo
Hype this on lookbook here. :)

Anyway, I decided to dress up yesterday just because my friend asked me to shoot her. I ended up being the subject! The photos were too good, thus too many photos posted here. Pagbigyan nyo na ako!

It was raining last Saturday and I got stuck at this spot in V. Mapa, Sta. Mesa. I looked around for a place to stay. Behind me stands this thrift store with a post “SALE ON ALL ITEMS” and so I decided to check it out. I didn’t know what I did to deserve this, but I got this pair of pants for only P50.00 (for my international readers, if any (naks), that’s almost $1) It’s really a treasure!

Along with the pants, I also bought several clothes and bags to be worn and blogged soon <3

Since we have to be on “corporate look” on workdays, wearing sleeveless is prohibited. So I put on my gold leather-like jacket which is also from thrift shop. I tell you, it’s the best jacket thrift shop has to offer because it’s only for P50.00!. It’s one of a kind! Oh Lord, thank you for taking me to these places!

When I saw Wendy (of PBB) wore this headband, I told myself I’m gonna look for one.  Would you believe that it was my boyfriend who saw this  when we were hunting for it? He knows exactly what I am talking about!

I miss wearing light shade lipstick! It gives me this good girl feeling.

Last February 9, there was an annual physical exam conducted at our company. The ophthalmologist advised me to change my old eyeglasses. Good thing, I found one that would look good on me, as per my opinion, hehe. I love nerd glasses! I got this for only P2, 500, sooo cheaper than my old one. Lesson learned!

I love these two photos!

To end this post, let me show you the “natural” me, the one with no “lookbook” pose.

Wagas ako tumawa!

Oooohhh, I’ll be gone tomorrow and will be back by Monday! It’s the trip I’ve been waiting for so expect more blog posts soon!

POLYVORE IS LOVE

One of my dream jobs is to be a stylist. Some of my friends would ask for my opinion when it comes to “what to wear” on certain events. I guess I could do that, not because I’m good at it, but because I love it. I love matching clothes, piling up accessories and just randomly selecting pieces that could go together. So I really was giddy when Dree’n's cousin Lissette tweeted me about this site that she’s been getting addicted to. POLYVORE. True enough, it’s a site I would really love! I spent a couple of hours creating these styles!

Create yours too. Click this and follow me.

Happy styling!

IT WILL RAIN

Top : Niece’s
Skorts : Thrifted
Accessories : Bazaar
Shoes : Korea
Hype this on lookbook here. :)

It was a Saturday and I had a scheduled meet-up with my high school mates. Thing is, our beloved professor is currently suffering from Lung Cancer (please do pray for him) and this is the time that I  get to see him after a long time together with some other faces from high school! I can see that my teacher is very happy to see us all reunited.

Before going to the hospital, I decided to do a quick outfit post since it’s been weeks since the last time I had one. This time, I chose  a vibrant color combination. I went for this blue green top, which is  from my niece. Thank God for my body, I can borrow clothes from her! hehehe. And the skorts I’m wearing was bought 3 years ago from my favorite thrift shop along Recto Avenue. Guess it’s a sign that I haven’t gained so much wait since then. MUST GAIN WEIGHT! Of course, the accessories and the shoes that I have been abusing!

I really am happy to see my high school friends. But I am happier to know that we are all reunited in one prayer and hope : for our teacher, Sir Loto. Will make a different blog post about it….when I get back from my trip this weekend! Yaaay!

Anyway, as per the title, by the time I have posted this on lookbook, the song that is being played on the background is Bruno Mars’ It Will Rain. I love Bruno Mars!

FOR THE WHOLE WORLD TO KNOW THAT I LOVE YOU.

DREEN,

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I want the whole world to know my feelings for you, so I am saying “I love you” in 14 different languages, symbolizing the 1st day of February up to this “lovers’ day”. I know it’s so jejemon to do such thing, but I’d rather be a jejemon at least I had the courage to tell you how much I love you.

You never fail to surprise me with every thing you do, every single day of our life together. And I can never thank you enough for those moments. I am so grateful to God that He gave me a man who loves me more than I thought I deserve who would take care of me and would make me feel like I am the most beautiful woman in the world.

From the 1st day of us being together, I already felt your love. You cried without holding back. You love me without any hesitations. You cared for me despite your fear. You told me you love me without any fear of being rejected. I know that you didn’t ask for me to love you, I guess it is inevitable. You are a very lovable person. You have a big heart (though you’re short, hehe). And I am so blessed to have a place in that big heart of yours.

I don’t know if I already told you, but I truly admire you. Knowing what you have gone through, what your past, and how you have become the person you are today, I just can’t help but fall in love with you all the more. I know you’re a good man, and I want to be that good girl for you. I hope I am doing very well, hehe.

Thank you for everything, for crying whenever I am crying, for trying to cheer me up when you feel like I am sad and down, for surprising me on ordinary days, for saying I am beautiful instead of hot, for seeing me as the prettiest girl even if I am at my messiest self.

You have seen me at my worst, yet you still manage to love me and appreciate me. You have loved me, and continuing to love me on my worst and so I know, with that, you will remain forever in my life. I can never ask for more than that. You are more than a God’s gift. You are a miracle. J

I love you Dreen. I do.

High Schoo Life, Oh my High School Life!

There’s always this one place that would take you to your past. It’s like a time machine, bringing you back to a certain part of your life. I love it.

I guess all my high school friends and batchmates would agree with me if I say that this place is the most memorable place in our high school lives. Laughter. Tears. Fights. Love. And above all, friendship. These things were built here. And though the people whom I have shared those memories with have changed now, this place still reminds me of the image of our past. The simple dreams and lives we used to have. The simple girls and boys we used to be.

People do change. But thank God, memories remain forever.
